The provider
OneProvider leases us the server. OneProvider is a Canadian company with no parent company outside Canada.
OneProvider supplies the hardware, the power and the network connection, and replaces a failed disk in about a day. Storm runs everything on the server, from the operating system to the storage.

The data centre
The server sits in MTL-02, Leaseweb Canada's data centre at 7207 Boulevard Newman, LaSalle, Montreal.
Leaseweb Canada is owned by Leaseweb Global, a Dutch company. We chose this building on purpose. Most Montreal data centres have a US parent and this one does not, and Leaseweb rents OneProvider only the space, power, cooling and network.

The alpha endpoint is separate from montreal-1, and its capacity is a grant that is never billed. One account can hold an alpha grant there and paid blocks on montreal-1.
