Backup · The 3-2-1 Rule

Storm is the copy that lives somewhere else.

The standard backup practice is three copies of your data, on two kinds of media, with one of them off-site. Point rclone, Restic, Veeam, Duplicati or your NAS at a Storm Bucket and that off-site copy sits in Canada, on hardware you do not have to run.

Standard durability is single-zone, RAID6-backed, one Canadian provider. It survives disk failure. It does not survive losing the provider, so keep your own primary.
