Who we are
Storm Developments builds a trustworthy foundation for builders and organizations.
-
No lock-in. Storm Buckets is standard S3. Use any S3 tool, move it to any provider, leave whenever you want.
-
Open and transparent. We build on open source and name what we use.
-
Flat, simple pricing. Priced in CAD, with a clear bandwidth allowance. Heavy use gets throttled, never billed by surprise.
It is also 100% Canadian Hosted: your data stays on Canadian ground. Sovereignty is a bonus on a foundation that already stands on its own.
Storm Buckets
Our focus today is Storm Buckets: managed S3-compatible object storage on Canadian hardware in Montreal. You get buckets, access keys, and an endpoint, everything your apps and tools already speak.
Two ways in: connect any S3 client (rclone, the AWS CLI, Obsidian), or use Bucket Explorer in your browser with no install and no CLI.
Storm Buckets is in alpha. Create a Storm account, then request Buckets alpha access. Storm activates it per account. Alpha members are Founding Alpha members and receive a permanent 80 GB storage grant.

Why a guide
This guide is our single source of truth.
For customers, it answers the practical questions: how to use our products, what we support, and what you can expect from us. For anyone weighing Storm Developments, it shows what we stand for before you commit to anything.
Internally, it keeps us honest. If something we do contradicts something written here, the guide wins, or the guide gets updated and we explain why.
